Palm Bay, FL - Following a brief illness, Ovella Hinely, 88, of Palm Bay, FL., passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 19, 2014. Born in Hazelhurst, GA., on September 4, 1925, she lived in several places through the years in Georgia and Florida.

Ovella worked for several years at Union Bag in Savannah, Georgia. Along with being a homemaker, she also worked as a school secretary and para-professional.

She met Richard Hinely in Savannah, and they were wed on August 17, 1947, as the first couple married at Morningside Baptist Church.

Through the years, in her role as a minister's wife, Ovella touched the lives of many people with her infectious smile and her love for the Lord. She will truly be missed, but all who knew and loved her know that now she is forever in the presence of the Lord.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, Ovella was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Jasper Hand and Missouri Hand and her husband Richard Duren Hinely. She is survived by one brother: Wright Hand of Jacksonville, GA. She is also survived by her four children: Pam Robert Albright of Kennesaw, GA.; Edward Paula Hinely of Covington, GA.; Annette David Walker, Palm Bay, FL.; and Tommy Deborah Hinely of Conyers, GA. She also is survived by seven grandchildren: Sarah Walker, Susannah Walker, Emily Walker, Daniel Walker, Jessica Albright, Ben Lauren Hinely, and Kelsey Hinely.

The funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 341 Emerson Dr., NW, Palm Bay, FL, 32907, on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation and viewing at 1:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at Bonaventure Cemetery.
